People often view women in fairytales as passive, submissive, pretty things. Pawns almost, that function as a way to help the story along and entertain the hero after his long journey to victory. And if you look solely to the plots of these stories, you are not far off.
However, if you dive deep into the characters of these women, you will discover that they have their own strengths and are capable of great things. You'll start to see patterns. The same women, the same choices, the same moments of courage and grief and stubbornness, represented universally across cultures, across centuries, across every corner of the world.
That is where The Story Wheel™ found its roots.

I have distilled seven archetypes from hundreds of fairytales and folklore traditions. From West Africa to Scandinavia, from Japan to the Caribbean. They are not here to label you or define you: these archetypes are the first step in finding which chapter of your story you're currently living.
